I believe that Valentine's day is not something when you remember about your partner, buy a gift for him/her, then forget their existence for the rest of the year. Your Valentine is someone special who share the moments of your life up close and personal along with you, stays with you even in times of distress and understands you more than anybody else. Such a person who is embracing a new life with you merging in along with your family deserves love and affection, not just that one day but throughout your life!

Here are some tips to show your valentine that you treasure them not only on valentine's day but all year round. 

Spending time

There is no better gift you can give to your valentine more than spending precious time with them. Take them to their favourite spot, a movie or anywhere that's special for you both and spend time conversing with them. Spending time together matters most rather than where you spend it. Even if its just staying at home, change your room's climate a bit with a hint of decoration and pour your heart away chatting with your valentine. Discussing matters together and laughing to each others' jokes make your bond stronger than ever leaving both with a great feel at the end of the day.

Respect 

Whether you are a lady or a mister, respect the other person's time, effort and emotions. respecting the other person comes to the front before even falling in love with them. Is she late to meet you for a movie? Taking hours to choose an outfit? Does her shopping spree never end? Try to understand their situation before losing your temper.
