Debbie Macomber - My writing inspiration...

I was deeply inspired by her - much more by her way of life than by her novels. Struggling with dyslexia at an early age making it difficult for her to read and write, she wanted to become an author since childhood. when she is done doing her motherly duties for all her four children she still managed to write using her typewriter sitting in her kitchen late at night. while reading about how she struggled to find a publishing house to get her first novel out, I got to know that she spent about five years when no one is willing to take up her novels for publishing but just gave her reviews. Finally, when one publishing house accepted her work, it was just the beginning of a great start in an author's life. with many of her books turned into successful TV series and even skits on stage, she is now churning out 6 novels in a year! Guess her age? She is in the beginning of her seventies! With so many novels to her credit she has spent about 35 years in publishing and she still goes on inspiring so many others, including me!

I still wonder how she is able to manage everything - gardening, spending time with her grandkids, cooking, reading, writing, knitting, spending quality time with family! I'm just tired of typing!

I'm falling in love with her book covers, with her writing, with her way of life, with everything about her...

In one of her interviews, she mentioned that her life will not be enough for her to tell all the stories she intends to tell through her books. Likewise, she couldn't read all the books she wishes to read within her time.

There are so many authors out there who got inspired somehow in their life and started penning stories. Inspiration is spilled out everywhere around us. We just have to pick it up to make our life colourful!
